Continue to St. Angelo Fort, one of Kannur’s best first introductions to the area. This compact museum, housed in the former palace complex, gives a concise look at the Arakkal dynasty, Kerala’s only Muslim royal family; allow about an hour. It typically operates during daytime and early evening hours, but confirm the closing time locally before setting out, especially outside the main tourist season. Finish at a seafood restaurant around Ayikkara Harbour, where you can order Malabar favourites such as pearl spot or kingfish, mussels, prawns, fish curry, and rice. Budget approximately ₹400–₹900 per person; ask what was landed fresh that day, and expect a simple, busy harbour-side setting rather than polished service.
