The mall is generally open from 10am until late; allow roughly 15–25 minutes by taxi from many central hotels, or take the Metro to Burj Khalifa/Dubai Mall station and follow the air-conditioned walkway (about 10–15 minutes on foot once inside).
Continue to Burj Khalifa for your booked observation-deck visit, allowing about 1½ hours for security, the lifts and time at the top. Reserve a timed ticket in advance—standard At the Top tickets are often around AED 179–259, with prices varying by time and level—and arrive 30 minutes before your slot. Sunset is popular and can cost more; after a flight, a later slot may feel less rushed.
For dinner, Social House inside Dubai Mall is a convenient, varied sit-down choice, with tables looking toward the fountain area; budget about AED 100–180 per person and ask for a view-side table when booking. Then stroll out to Burj Lake for the Dubai Fountain show and stay for around 45 minutes. Shows are usually scheduled in the evening at regular intervals, but check the day’s timings before dinner, as schedules can change; arrive a little early for a spot along the waterfront.
