Two-Day Shoestring Budget Itinerary for Kelara in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Explore the City Center
    10 minutes (1.3 miles) from Kelara International Airport

    In the morning, start your day with a visit to the Kelara City Museum where you can take a look at the history and culture of the city. After that, head over to the Kelara Palace, a beautiful building that is a mix of traditional and modern architecture. For lunch, walk over to the nearby Kelara Bazaar and enjoy some of the local delicacies. In the afternoon, visit the Kelara Fort, which is one of the oldest forts in the country. After that, make your way to the Kelara Beach, where you can relax and soak up some sun. End your day with a visit to the Kelara Marina where you can enjoy a beautiful sunset and grab some dinner at the nearby restaurants.

  2. Day 2: Nature and Wildlife
    1 hour 15 minutes (41 miles) from Kelara City Center

    Start your day early with a drive to the Rajaji National Park, known for its biodiversity and wildlife. Spend the morning on a jungle safari where you can spot tigers, elephants, and other animals. After the safari, have lunch at the park's restaurant and then head over to the Lakshman Jhula, a suspension bridge over the Ganges River. Take a walk across the bridge and enjoy the scenic views. In the evening, visit the Triveni Ghat, a popular spot for pilgrims, to take part in the Ganga aarti ceremony and watch the floating lamps light up the river. End your day with dinner at a local restaurant in Rishikesh before heading back to Kelara.
