3-Day Shoestring Budget Itinerary for Goa in August 2023

  1. Day 1: Explore the Beaches of North Goa

    In the morning, head to the stunning Baga Beach for a dip in the Arabian Sea and some sunbathing. After lunch, visit the historic Aguada Fort, which was built by the Portuguese in the 17th century.   2. Day 2: Discover the Heritage of Old Goa

    In the morning, visit the Basilica of Bom Jesus, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and see the preserved remains of St. Francis Xavier. Afterward, visit the Se Cathedral, one of the largest churches in Asia. In the afternoon, explore the Latin Quarter of Fontainhas, known for its colorful Portuguese-style houses, quaint cafes, and art galleries. In the evening, head to Panjim, the capital city of Goa, to see the illuminated Our Lady of Immaculate Conception Church.

  3. Day 3: Adventure and Relaxation in South Goa
    45 minutes (33.4 km) from Panjim

    Start your day with a trek to the Dudhsagar Waterfalls, known as one of the highest waterfalls in India. Afterward, head to Colva Beach to relax and enjoy some coconut water. In the afternoon, visit the picturesque Cabo de Rama Fort, located on a cliff overlooking the Arabian Sea. In the evening, take a sunset boat ride on the Sal River and watch the dolphins play.

If you have time, visit the Bondla Wildlife Sanctuary to see some exotic birds and animals. Take a day trip to the beautiful and peaceful Divar Island.
