Bandra Neighborhood Itinerary

Day 1 · Fri, Oct 2
Bandra, Mumbai

Explore Bandra

  1. Bandra Fort — Land’s End; explore the historic fort and take in views toward the Bandra–Worli Sea Link, late morning, ~1 hour.
  2. Bandstand Promenade — Bandstand; walk the waterfront and enjoy the sea breeze, late morning, ~45 minutes.
  3. Mount Mary Church — Mount Mary; visit the peaceful hilltop basilica and its ornate interior, around noon, ~30 minutes.
  4. Candies — Pali Hill; stop for a relaxed café lunch with a broad mix of Indian and international dishes, early afternoon, ~1 hour; budget roughly ₹400–₹800 per person.
  5. Shopping at Linking Road — Linking Road; browse the busy street-market stalls and shops for clothes, accessories, and souvenirs, mid-to-late afternoon, ~1.5 hours.

Late Morning: Fort and waterfront

Start at Bandra Fort at Land’s End around 10:30; it’s usually open during daylight hours and free to enter. Give yourself about an hour to wander the ramparts and take in the Bandra–Worli Sea Link views—bring water, as shade is limited. From the fort, walk roughly 15–20 minutes along the shore to Bandstand Promenade for a breezy stroll and a look at the sea-facing homes. The path can be uneven in places, so comfortable shoes help.

Around Noon: Mount Mary and lunch

Take an auto or taxi uphill to Mount Mary Church; allow 10–15 minutes, depending on traffic. Spend about half an hour inside the hilltop basilica, keeping voices low if a service is underway. Then ride to Candies in Pali Hill for a relaxed lunch—roughly ₹400–₹800 per person, with plenty of Indian and international options. It’s a popular, casual stop; check the day’s hours before setting out, as timings can vary.

Afternoon: Linking Road

From Pali Hill, take an auto or taxi to Linking Road—usually around 10–20 minutes in Bandra traffic. Set aside about 1½ hours to browse the street stalls and shops for clothes, accessories, and souvenirs; haggling is normal at the stalls, while fixed-price shops are easier for a quick browse. Shops generally get going late morning and stay open into the evening, but carry small notes and keep an eye on your belongings in the crowds.
