Start around 8:00 a.m. at Moosi Maharani ki Chhatri, when the air is cooler and the lake and carved cenotaphs are at their best; allow about 45 minutes. Walk or take a short auto-rickshaw ride to City Palace, Alwar for its courtyards, architecture and museum collection (about 1–1½ hours). Museum access and hours can change, so check locally before you go; carry some cash for any entry fee.
Have a traditional vegetarian lunch at Prem Pavitra Bhojnalaya in central Alwar—budget roughly ₹200–₹400 per person and allow an hour. After lunch, hire a local taxi for Bala Quila, above the city; give yourself 1½–2 hours for the fort and sweeping views. Confirm road access and any required permission with your driver or locally before heading up, as access can vary. The uphill road is winding, so go in a vehicle you’re comfortable taking on a steep route.
Continue by taxi about 13 km southwest to Siliserh Lake and leave around 1½ hours to sit by the water and enjoy the softer late-afternoon light. A private taxi for the fort-and-lake stretch is the easiest option; agree on the fare and whether the driver will wait before you leave town. Saturday may bring visitors, but an early start and a late-afternoon lake stop should give the day a more relaxed rhythm.
