Dates are flexible. This day-by-day plan is provisional until you choose exact travel dates.
Leave Manesar well before sunrise and take the route via Meerut, Bijnor and Kotdwar; allow roughly 7–9 hours each way, and longer if traffic or hill-road conditions slow you down. The final climb is winding, so avoid driving it after dark. Arrange parking at your stay or confirm a designated town parking spot before setting off. This is an extremely long day trip: even with an early start, you’ll have little time in Lansdowne before needing to turn back.
Start at Bhulla Tal, near the town centre, for an easy lakeside walk—allow about 45 minutes. Then head to Gandhi Chowk for a relaxed lunch at a local café or restaurant; budget around ₹300–700 per person. Choices can be modest, so keep expectations simple and check what’s open when you arrive.
Visit St. Mary’s Church for its historic setting and peaceful grounds; allow 30–45 minutes, but check access locally, as it can vary. Continue to Tip-in-Top on the western edge of town for ridge views and a short walk, allowing around 45 minutes. Keep an eye on the clock: these stops make for a compact visit, not an unhurried full day.
For the return, take the same route via Kotdwar, Bijnor and Meerut, and plan a brief rest stop near Kotdwar if needed. The drive back may take another 7–9 hours; leaving by early afternoon still means a late arrival in Manesar, so don’t push on if you’re tired. An overnight stay in Lansdowne is by far the safer and more enjoyable option.
