Dates are flexible. This day-by-day plan is provisional until you choose exact travel dates.
Start at Pandav Caves, south of town, when it’s cool and the gardens are quiet; allow about an hour to see the rock-cut caves. They’re generally visited during daylight, but confirm the day’s access and any entry fee locally. Continue to Jata Shankar Cave, a short drive back toward central Pachmarhi. Set aside another hour for the walk down and back, wear shoes with good grip, and follow shrine guidance on footwear and modest dress.
Take a relaxed break at Indian Coffee House in town, where familiar café fare usually runs about ₹200–₹500 per person. Pachmarhi’s small-town pace is part of the appeal, so leave a little slack rather than trying to rush through lunch. If you’re hiring a local jeep for the day, confirm the full sightseeing route and total fare before setting off; forest-area access and vehicle arrangements can affect the price.
Head out to Bee Falls after lunch and allow 2–3 hours for the forest approach, steep steps, time by the water and the climb back. Ask your driver or a local operator about current trail conditions before leaving town—steps can be slippery, especially after rain—and take water, sturdy shoes and a change of clothes if you plan to get wet. Keep to marked paths and carry any rubbish back out.
Finish at Dhoopgarh, the highest point in the Satpura Range, for sunset. Allow 1.5–2 hours including the drive, and leave town well before sunset; forest access may require an authorized vehicle or local arrangements, so confirm the latest cutoff and return timing with your operator before the day’s outing. Bring a light layer for the cooler, exposed viewpoint, and don’t count on mobile reception for last-minute navigation.
