  1. Day 1: Gandikota Fort

    In the morning, visit the Mallikarjuna Swamy Temple, located on the Shri Shaila Mountain, and dedicated to Lord Shiva. This temple is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas of India and is known for its architectural beauty. In the afternoon, take a boat ride in the Srisailam Dam, the second-largest hydroelectric project in the country, and enjoy the serene waters that are surrounded by picturesque mountains. In the evening, visit the Akkamahadevi Caves, which are located near the dam and are known for their ancient rock formations and natural beauty.

If you have more time, you can visit the Ahobilam Narasimha Swamy Temple, located 3 hours (142 km) from Srisailam Dam. It is a famous pilgrimage site known for its ancient architecture and beautiful surroundings. You can also plan a side trip to the Sri Venkateswara Temple in Tirupati or the Charminar in Hyderabad. Don't forget to try the famous biryanis and kebabs while you are in the region.
