Dates are flexible. This day-by-day plan is provisional until you choose exact travel dates.
Leave RGUKT Ongole Campus at 10:00 AM by pre-booked car or auto; allow about 40–50 minutes to central Ongole, depending on the campus pickup point and traffic. Confirm the return ride before you set off, and agree whether your driver will wait or meet you later—finding a ride at the beach can take time. Start at Chennakesava Swamy Temple for around 40 minutes. It’s a central stop, but check access and worship timings when you arrive; dress modestly and follow any footwear or photography rules.
Walk or take a short auto ride to Ongole Main Bazaar for about 45 minutes of browsing. It’s a good place to see the everyday city rhythm; keep small notes handy for modest purchases. Then sit down for an Andhra thali at a central meals restaurant—allow an hour and budget roughly ₹150–₹350 per person. Ask about spice levels, and don’t linger too long: the beach leg makes this a fairly tight six-hour outing.
Head east to Kothapatnam Beach, roughly 30–40 minutes from town by car, for a relaxed coastal stop rather than a swim. The planned 1.5-hour beach block includes the drive, so expect less than an hour on the sand; stick together, keep an eye on the sea, and take water with you. Leave by about 2:45 PM for the return to RGUKT Ongole Campus; allow around 40–50 minutes, with traffic or road conditions potentially pushing arrival past 4:00 PM. If reaching campus by 4 is firm, shorten your bazaar or beach time and have your ride ready to leave promptly.
