I wouldn’t swap the days wholesale. Day 1 includes the long drive and the Yercaud climb, so trying to fit a full sightseeing morning before setting off would make for a tiring start. Leave Electronic City around 6:00 AM via Hosur, Krishnagiri and Salem; allow roughly 5–6 hours of driving, plus breaks and traffic. Stop in the Krishnagiri area for breakfast, a stretch and toilets (about ₹150–₹300 per person). Keep the schedule loose rather than trying to make up time on the road.
From Salem, take the Yercaud ghat road slowly: the hairpins need patience, and it’s best to do this section in daylight. Don’t stop on bends or narrow shoulders for photos. If the drive runs late, skip the afternoon outing rather than rushing the climb.
At Treebo Paradise, confirm check-in arrangements and parking directly with the hotel; then give everyone a proper rest. If you arrive with time and feel refreshed, go to Yercaud Lake and Anna Park, which is right beside it, so you can park once and visit both. Check current entry information at the gates; boating depends on conditions, and children should wear properly fitted life jackets. If you’re tired, make this a hotel-rest afternoon and save your energy for the next morning.
For Day 2, keeping the return drive and a 3:00 PM departure is more practical than moving the lake visit to the morning. If you’re ready early, choose just one nearby viewpoint—Lady’s Seat or Pagoda Point—then return to the hotel, check out and get on the road by 3:00 PM. Avoid adding Kiliyur Falls to a short morning: the walk and steps can take more time and effort than expected. On the return, use a proper highway food stop around Salem or Krishnagiri rather than stopping on the ghat road; budget roughly ₹150–₹350 per person for a meal, depending on what you order.
Have dinner at Sweet Rascal if it’s open and has seating; call ahead before driving over, and allow roughly ₹500–₹900 per person. Keep the evening relaxed and avoid unnecessary late-night driving on unfamiliar hill roads.
Switching the two days’ activities doesn’t really work within this two-day outline: Day 2 is the return to Bengaluru, so moving the return drive to Day 1 would leave the Yercaud sightseeing for after you’d already gone home. To do the sightseeing on Day 2 and still have a relaxed return, you’d need an extra night.
For a Day 2 departure around 3:00 p.m., keep the morning simple: visit Yercaud Botanical Garden around 8:30–9:45 a.m., then Lady’s Seat around 10:00–10:30 a.m. Have a late breakfast or early lunch and leave time to pack and check out. Confirm the garden’s current access locally; skip the viewpoint if the weather makes visibility poor. Keep the children close and stay within marked areas.
Have lunch at The Orange Restaurant around 12:30–1:30 p.m., then aim to leave Yercaud by 3:00 p.m. Allow roughly 5–6 hours to Electronic City, including traffic and a break; leaving at 3 means you may reach Bengaluru around 8:00–9:00 p.m. or later. The ghat descent should be in daylight if you keep to this schedule, but don’t rush to make it: if the morning slips, drop a stop rather than drive faster.
On the return, the useful stop is a meal, fuel or restroom break at a busy, well-lit place in Salem or farther along the plains route, rather than adding a sightseeing detour. For the outward drive, consider a planned break in Salem or Krishnagiri; choose a staffed stop with parking, and avoid pulling over on the shoulder. If you want another attraction, a detour will make the day longer, so I’d save it for a trip with an extra night.
