Dates are flexible. This day-by-day plan is provisional until you choose exact travel dates.
Start at Chitkara University and allow 2–3 hours for your campus visit and meetings. Contact the university beforehand to arrange visitor access and confirm where to check in; don’t assume you can enter academic buildings without approval. Afterward, take a pre-booked cab toward Patiala—it’s roughly 30 km and usually a 45–60-minute drive, depending on traffic. A car is the easiest way to manage the stops outside the old city.
Explore Qila Mubarak for about 1.5 hours, then head into Adalat Bazaar for a 45-minute browse among the traditional shops. The fort’s visitor access and opening hours can vary, so check ahead; likewise, confirm the market’s hours if you’re visiting on a holiday. From the bazaar, continue to Gopal Sweets for a Punjabi meal and something sweet—budget roughly ₹300–700 per person. A cab or auto-rickshaw is practical between stops; allow extra time if the old-city lanes are busy.
Visit Sheesh Mahal for around 1–1.5 hours, checking in advance which galleries or museum areas are open that day. Finish with an easy 45-minute stroll through nearby Baradari Gardens. This is a full day once you include the drive and transitions, so start early and keep some flexibility: access at the university and historic sites is the main thing to confirm before setting out.
