Dates are flexible. This day-by-day plan is provisional until you choose exact travel dates.
Set off before dawn for Belagavi; this is a 12–14-hour driving day before meal and rest breaks, so don’t plan to reach Goa today. Check live road conditions before leaving and share the driving if possible. The route via Raichur and Bagalkot has varied road conditions, and your actual timing will depend on traffic, construction and stops. Keep water and snacks handy, and take a proper break at least every couple of hours.
Use Raichur for a brief leg-stretch stop at Raichur Fort, not a full sightseeing visit. The fort is spread out and exposed to the sun, so allow only a short walk if you’re on schedule and there’s daylight; check local access before detouring in. If you’re running late or feeling tired, prioritize a safe break over the visit.
Pause in Bagalkot for a meal and refuel before the final stretch to Belagavi. Keep the meal stop efficient, but don’t rush a rest break to make up time. On arrival, check in, park for the night and have dinner near your accommodation—or eat at the hotel if you’re tired. Keep the evening restful: you’ll drive from Belagavi to Panaji tomorrow, around 3–4 hours. Allow roughly ₹5,000–₹8,000 for fuel and tolls for the road trip, depending on your vehicle and route.
Start from Belagavi in the morning and allow about 3–4 hours to reach Panaji, plus a little extra for traffic and dropping bags at your accommodation. Once settled, head to Fontainhas for an easy 1–1.5-hour wander through its colorful lanes and Portuguese-era houses; go slowly and keep an eye out for small galleries and cafés tucked behind the main streets.
Stay in Fontainhas for lunch at Viva Panjim, known for Goan-Portuguese home-style cooking. Budget roughly ₹500–₹1,000 per person. Arriving around lunchtime makes this a natural pause after your walk; check current hours before setting out, as service times can vary.
Walk or take a short auto-rickshaw ride to Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church for 30–45 minutes. Its hilltop setting and broad staircase make it a lovely stop, but church access can depend on services and opening hours, so check locally rather than counting on entry. Later, take a taxi or auto to Miramar Beach—allow around 1 hour to unwind by the water near sunset. October sunset times vary, so check the day’s timing and leave a little margin for traffic.
Leave Panaji as early as you can; this is a long driving day, not a sightseeing day. The planned NH748/NH50 route with the Ponda–Dharwad–Raichur stops can take longer than the headline 12–14 hours once you include meals, fuel and traffic—budget roughly 14–16 hours or more. Share the driving if possible, check live road conditions, and don’t set out unless everyone is rested.
Use Ponda for your first proper meal and a short break; roadside eateries along the highway are practical, and carrying water and snacks helps avoid losing time. Continue to Dharwad for a driver-rest stop and fuel. Keep the break long enough to reset rather than pushing on tired; fuel and tolls for the full return are roughly ₹5,000–₹8,000, depending on your car and route.
From Dharwad, continue toward Raichur for the planned final rest stop, then head on to Hyderabad. This is an especially demanding stretch, so treat Raichur as a decision point: if anyone is sleepy or the day is running late, stop overnight and finish the drive safely the next day. Don’t rely on reaching Hyderabad by a particular hour; allow for breaks and changing road conditions.
