Dates are flexible. This day-by-day plan is provisional until you choose exact travel dates.
Start at Dashashwamedh Ghat around sunrise, when the riverfront is cooler and quieter than later in the day. If you plan to bathe, do so only where local staff and safety signs indicate it’s permitted; skip the dip if conditions look unsafe or the water has been advised against. Keep valuables with someone you trust, and agree on any boat or changing arrangements before paying. Allow about an hour here.
Continue on foot to Man Mandir Ghat (about 45 minutes, including time on the steps), then follow the riverfront north to Nepali Temple near Lalita Ghat for a 30–45-minute visit. The temple’s carved timber is a lovely contrast to the stone ghats; access can vary, so check locally before counting on entering. Wear shoes you can remove easily, and watch your footing on damp or uneven steps.
From Lalita Ghat, walk inland through the lanes toward Kashi Vishwanath Temple. Set aside 1.5–3 hours for security, queues and current entry procedures; check the temple’s latest rules before setting out, and don’t bring restricted items. Finish at Kashi Chat Bhandar in Godowlia for chaat and snacks—budget roughly ₹150–400 per person and allow 45–60 minutes. The lanes are easiest on foot; for a rickshaw onward, walk out to a wider road and agree the fare before boarding.
