Head to Cambais Falls early, ideally around 7:30–8:00 a.m., to enjoy the cascades before the midday heat and any weekend crowds. From Alegria town center, arrange a local habal-habal or other ride to the falls’ trail access; allow roughly 20–30 minutes each way, depending on road and trail conditions. Set aside about three hours for the ride, walk, and swim. Check in locally for current access fees and whether a guide is required, and bring cash, sturdy shoes for the slippery approach, and a dry bag for valuables.
Return to St. Francis of Assisi Parish Church in the town center for a quiet 30–45-minute visit. Be respectful if a service is underway, dress modestly, and check the parish locally for current visiting or Mass times rather than assuming the church is open to visitors throughout the day. Then take an unhurried lunch at a local carinderia in Alegria town center: expect about ₱150–₱350 per person for a filling Cebuano meal, with dishes and prices varying by stall.
Save the cooler part of the day for a one-hour stroll along the Alegria coastline. It’s a relaxed place to watch the light change over the water; ask your driver or your lunch stop which nearby stretch is easiest to reach and suitable for walking, as access can vary along the coast. Bring water and a little cash for a ride back to town, and aim to finish before dusk.
