After landing at Charleston International Airport, allow roughly 45–75 minutes for bags, the rideshare or taxi pickup, and the drive downtown; traffic and Sunday activity can stretch that. Drop your bags or check in first if you can, then head to 82 Queen in the French Quarter for a relaxed late lunch. It’s a good first taste of Lowcountry cooking, with main courses typically around $20–40 per person; booking ahead is wise, especially for a Sunday.
Walk to Charleston City Market and give yourself about 45 minutes to browse the historic sheds and local crafts. Sunday hours can vary, so check before setting out. November 8 is the second Sunday of the month, when Second Sunday on King may bring extra crowds and street closures nearby; check whether the event is running and allow a little flexibility getting around. From the market, stroll south toward Rainbow Row—about 10–15 minutes on foot—and take around 30 minutes to admire the pastel Georgian houses and the surrounding historic streets.
Continue south to The Battery and White Point Garden, roughly a 15–20-minute walk from Rainbow Row. The harbor-side promenade and shaded garden are a lovely, unhurried finish; allow 45–60 minutes, and aim to arrive before sunset, around 5:20 p.m. in early November. Both are free to visit, and comfortable walking shoes will make the cobbled and uneven stretches easier.
