Goa 4-Day Foodie Itinerary in August 2023

  1. Day 1: Anjuna Market
    1 hour (18.3 km) from Goa International Airport

    In the morning, visit the famous Anjuna Market where you can find local delicacies and snacks. Try the Goan fish curry, pork vindaloo, and bebinca for dessert. In the afternoon, take a stroll on Anjuna Beach and try some street food like bhajiya, pani puri, and pav bhaji. In the evening, head to Thirsty Bear for some craft beer and live music.

  2. Day 2: Spice Plantation
    1 hour 15 minutes (29.8 km) from Anjuna Beach

    In the morning, visit the Sahakari Spice Farm for a guided tour of the plantation and learn about the herbs and spices used in Goan cuisine. In the afternoon, have lunch at the farm's restaurant and try their thali meal. In the evening, head to Ritz Classic for some authentic Goan food like prawn curry rice and fish thali.

  3. Day 3: Latin Quarter
    30 minutes (10.7 km) from Sahakari Spice Farm

    In the morning, visit the Fontainhas neighborhood, also known as the Latin Quarter, and take a walking tour of the colorful streets filled with Portuguese architecture. In the afternoon, have lunch at Venite Restaurant and try their famous Goan chorizo burger. In the evening, head to Cantare for some live music and cocktails.

  4. Day 4: Divar Island
    1 hour 15 minutes (37.4 km) from Fontainhas

    In the morning, take a ferry to the peaceful Divar Island and visit the Our Lady of Candelaria Church. In the afternoon, have lunch at Vinayak Family Restaurant and try their authentic Goan fish thali. In the evening, head to the Black Sheep Bistro for some fusion cuisine and cocktails.

Recommendations

Don't miss out on the chance to try some Feni, a local liquor made from cashew fruit or coconut. Visit the Museum of Christian Art, the Reis Magos Fort, and the Basilica of Bom Jesus for some cultural experiences. You can also take a day trip to the Dudhsagar waterfalls or the Bondla Wildlife Sanctuary for some adventure. Try to catch a local fado music performance for an authentic Goan experience.
