If you have more time, consider visiting the beautiful churches in Old Goa, such as the Basilica of Bom Jesus or Se Cathedral. You can also take a day trip to the nearby city of Panaji, where you can explore the Latin Quarter and Fontainhas, the old Portuguese quarter. To maximize your fun, try some of the local cuisine, such as vindaloo, fish curry, or bebinca (a type of cake).

For side trips, consider visiting the nearby state of Karnataka, where you can explore the beautiful city of Hampi or the stunning Jog Falls. You can also take a trip to the nearby state of Maharashtra and visit the city of Mumbai, where you can explore the bustling city and its famous attractions such as the Gateway of India and Marine Drive.

Finally, be sure to plan your itinerary around the monsoon season in August, when the weather can be unpredictable and some attractions may be closed. Make sure to pack accordingly and have a backup plan in case of heavy rain.
