Dates are flexible. This day-by-day plan is provisional until you choose exact travel dates.
Start at the Khao Sok National Park Visitor Center for about an hour. This is the right place to confirm which trails and river sections are open, whether a licensed guide is required, current weather and water conditions, and the park’s filming rules. For a large group, arrange supervision, toilets, transport, and any filming permissions before arrival; do not assume media status changes park regulations. Budget roughly ฿200–฿300 per adult for park access, plus guide and transport costs where applicable. From there, continue only if conditions allow to Khao Sok Viewpoint, allowing around 1½ hours for the walk, pauses, and the return. Trails can become slippery after rain, so bring proper footwear and keep the group together—wildlife should be observed quietly and never approached or baited.
Have lunch at Pa-Ngam Restaurant, a casual local choice near the park area, allowing about an hour and roughly ฿150–฿350 per person. Afterward, spend two hours on the Khao Sok River with a licensed canoe operator or registered guide. Choose a daytime route suited to the group’s age and fitness, and wear life jackets throughout; water levels and departures can change with weather, so confirm locally rather than relying on a fixed timetable. An unscheduled night boat, restricted-zone entry, fireworks, or attempts to attract wild elephants are unsafe, illegal, and harmful to the animals. Drones also require explicit approval and must not be flown near wildlife or people.
Before sunset, attend the Khao Sok National Park ranger or licensed guide briefing for about 45 minutes. Use it to settle documentary permits, approved filming areas, drone permissions, group supervision, rescue-dog restrictions, and permitted transport. Ask specifically about sunset cutoffs and whether dogs may enter any proposed area; do not bring the rescue dogs into the park unless officials confirm this in writing. Finish with an hour around the Khlong Sok village evening market area for snacks and supplies. Film discreetly, ask before recording residents or vendors, and keep dogs leashed and away from food stalls. Fireworks and nighttime wildlife filming should be removed from the production plan; for an ethical exclusive shot, use a permitted daytime landscape sequence or a non-wildlife reflection setup outside the protected area.
