Dates are flexible. This day-by-day plan is provisional until you choose exact travel dates.
Start early at Vindhyachal Dham, ideally around 6:00–7:00 AM, when the approach roads and temple queues are generally more manageable. Allow about 1½ hours for darshan, security checks, footwear storage, and possible waiting; special-darshan arrangements and entry procedures should be confirmed locally, especially on festival days. From central Mirzapur, a taxi or auto-rickshaw to Vindhyachal usually takes roughly 30–45 minutes depending on traffic. Continue uphill by road to Ashtabhuja Temple—allow extra time for the climb, narrow stretches, and parking—then spend about an hour taking in the shrine and wide views across the Ganges plain. Proceed to Sita Kund for a quieter 30–45-minute visit; keep footwear, water, and modest clothing handy, as facilities around the sacred sites are basic.
Head back toward the city for the Mirzapur Ghats, allowing around 30–45 minutes from Sita Kund by auto-rickshaw or taxi. Spend an hour walking the riverfront, watching boatmen, worshippers, and daily riverside life; morning or early afternoon is better for light, though the exposed ghats can be hot, so carry water and sun protection. Then visit Lal Bhairav Temple, typically another 15–25 minutes away by auto depending on the ghat and traffic, and allow about 45 minutes for the shrine. Finish with lunch at a simple vegetarian restaurant near Mirzapur Railway Station, where a thali, kachori-sabzi, or seasonal North Indian meal should cost approximately ₹150–400 per person. Restaurant hours vary, so keep the meal flexible and ask an auto driver or station-area shopkeeper for the busiest clean local option; expect basic seating rather than polished service.
