As the Amalfi Coast is quite hilly and transport can be tricky, we recommend hiring drivers or private vehicles for scenic drives and tours which can cost between €100-€250 a day. Ferry and boat options to explore the coast and the nearby islands are also available at rates ranging from €19-€30 per route. If you prefer to travel independently, you can rent a scooter or car which cost around €20-€50 a day.
For those with more time available, we recommend additional exploration of the lesser known towns along the coast such as Atrani, Maiori, Cetara and Vietri sul Mare. If you have less time, you may opt to skip some of the suggested sights and take a more direct route. Remember to plan ahead for booking restaurants and tours as they can fill up quickly during the high season from June to August.
The nearest airport, Naples International Airport (NAP) is located about 70 km from Amalfi Coast and it can take around 90 minutes by car to get to your accommodation. Alternatively, you can fly into Salerno Costa d'Amalfi Airport (QSR) which is closer to the coast but offers fewer flight options.
