Sarangpur Hanuman Temple Trip by Train or Bus

Dates are flexible. This day-by-day plan is provisional until you choose exact travel dates.

Day 1
Sarangpur, Gujarat

Kashtbhanjan Dev Mandir Visit by Train or Bus

  1. Botad Railway Station or Sarangpur Bus Stand (Botad/Sarangpur) — arrive by train or intercity bus, then continue to the temple by auto-rickshaw or local taxi — travel morning; allow several hours plus 30–60 minutes for the final transfer.
  2. Sarangpur Hanuman Temple (Kashtbhanjan Dev Mandir) (Sarangpur) — attend darshan and Hanumanji’s worship rituals, allowing extra time for queues and temple procedures — late morning, ~2 hours.
  3. Temple Prasad/Bhojan Area (Sarangpur) — have the vegetarian prasad or temple meal if service is running that day — early afternoon, ~45 minutes.
  4. Ghela Somnath Mahadev Temple (Sarangpur area) — visit this nearby Shiva temple for a quieter devotional experience — afternoon, ~45 minutes.
  5. Sarangpur Village Walk (around the temple) — browse devotional stalls and local snack sellers while taking in the village atmosphere — late afternoon, ~1 hour.
  6. Gujarati Thali Restaurant near Botad/Sarangpur (Botad–Sarangpur road) — finish with a simple vegetarian Gujarati meal before your onward journey or overnight stay — early evening, ~1 hour.

Journey and Arrival

Travel to the Botad Railway Station by train or to the Sarangpur Bus Stand by intercity bus, depending on the service available from your starting point. Check the railway and state-bus timetables before setting out; do not assume that a train runs directly to Sarangpur or that a bus reaches the temple entrance. From Botad, or from the Sarangpur bus stop, allow roughly 30–60 minutes for the final auto-rickshaw or local taxi ride, with extra time for waiting and rural traffic.

If arriving by train, keep luggage light and arrange the onward auto or taxi at the station rather than relying on a tightly timed connection. Bus services can drop you closer to the village but may be slower and less predictable. Carry water, small cash, and a charged phone; UPI and mobile coverage can be inconsistent around smaller stops.

Temple Visit

After arrival, go first to Sarangpur Hanuman Temple (Kashtbhanjan Dev Mandir). Reaching by late morning should still allow time for darshan, but an earlier arrival is preferable when possible, especially on busy religious days. Allow about two hours for security checks, footwear storage, queues, darshan, and worship rituals. Aarti and darshan timings can change, so confirm them with temple staff or the noticeboards on the day. Dress modestly, avoid large bags and valuables, and follow the temple’s photography restrictions; donations and special services are optional.

Use the Temple Prasad/Bhojan Area afterward if the vegetarian meal service is operating. Availability depends on the day’s schedule and capacity, so keep a backup of tea, snacks, or a simple meal from the surrounding stalls. Expect little or no major entry charge, but budget for donations, refreshments, and local transport.

Afternoon and Return Planning

Continue by auto-rickshaw or local taxi to Ghela Somnath Mahadev Temple, allowing for variable rural road conditions. After the visit, spend some unhurried time on a Sarangpur Village Walk, browsing prayer items, small Hanuman images, souvenirs, and regional snacks. Carry or buy sealed drinking water and keep cash in small denominations.

For dinner, use a Gujarati Thali Restaurant near Botad/Sarangpur if one is open, budgeting approximately ₹200–₹500 per person. Verify operating hours locally before travelling, as restaurants may close between lunch and dinner. If you are returning by train or bus the same day, leave a generous buffer for the ride back to Botad Railway Station or the bus stop, and confirm the last practical service before committing to the evening meal.
