Three-Day Nature Itinerary for Goa in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Bondla Wildlife Sanctuary
    1 hour 16 minutes (36.8 km) from Goa International Airport

    In the morning, we'll explore the Bondla Wildlife Sanctuary to see a variety of animals, including deer, mongoose, and black panthers. After lunch, we'll visit the botanical gardens to see a range of flora and fauna native to Goa. In the evening, we'll enjoy a nature walk along the river and soak in the beauty of the surrounding hills.

  2. Day 2: Dudhsagar Falls
    2 hours 2 minutes (66.9 km) from Bondla Wildlife Sanctuary

    In the morning, we'll head to the Dudhsagar Falls, one of the tallest waterfalls in India, surrounded by lush greenery. After lunch, we'll explore the spice plantations and learn about the cultivation of various spices. In the evening, we'll take a relaxing river cruise and watch the sunset over the Arabian Sea.

  3. Day 3: Netravali Wildlife Sanctuary

    In the morning, we'll visit the Netravali Wildlife Sanctuary, home to a wide range of animals such as Malabar Giant Squirrel, Slender Loris and King Cobra, and enjoy a guided trek through the forest. After lunch, we'll visit the nearby Cotigao Wildlife Sanctuary to see animals such as deer, wild boars, and black-faced langurs. In the evening, we'll visit the beautiful Butterfly Conservatory.

Recommendations

If you have some extra days to spend in Goa, you can also visit the Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary, located on the banks of the Mandovi River, and the Bhagwan Mahavir Wildlife Sanctuary, which is spread over an area of 240 sq. km and is home to various species of animals and birds. You can also take a side trip to the nearby beaches of Anjuna, Calangute, and Baga to enjoy some water sports, or visit the historic forts of Aguada and Chapora. To maximize your fun, you can hire a bike or car and explore Goa at your own pace. Lastly, don't forget to try the delicious Goan cuisine, especially the seafood dishes!
