Exploring Coimbatore in 2 Days

  1. Day 1: Marudamalai Temple
    30 minutes (9.9 km) from Coimbatore Junction

    Start your day by visiting the famous temple of Marudamalai. This temple is dedicated to Lord Murugan and is located on a hilltop, providing a stunning view of the surroundings. The morning here is peaceful and serene, perfect for starting your day on a spiritual note. After your visit to the temple, head to Tamil Nadu Agricultural University for a quick lunch. The university has a beautiful campus with a lake, gardens and a botanical garden. Post lunch, head to the Codissia Trade Fair Complex which is only 25 minutes away. You can explore the exhibitions and events taking place in the complex.

  2. Day 2: Dhyanalinga Temple
    40 minutes (27.1 km) from Marudamalai Temple

    Begin your second day by visiting Dhyanalinga Temple, which is located in the foothills of Velliangiri Mountains. The temple is known for its unique architecture and tranquil ambiance. You can participate in the yoga and meditation programs offered here. Afterward, head to the Brookefields Mall for lunch and enjoy a shopping spree. In the evening, visit the Gass Forest Museum, which is only 10 minutes away from the mall. The museum has a vast collection of fossils, animals, and plants.

Coimbatore is a great city with many places to visit. Some of the other local attractions that you can consider are G.D.Naidu Museum, Black Thunder Water Park, and Singanallur Lake. If you have an extra day, you can plan a side trip to Ooty or Valparai. To maximize your fun, try the local delicacies, such as Murukku and Kothu Parotta.
