Recommendations

If you have more time in Meghalaya, consider visiting the Nohkalikai Falls, which is the highest plunge waterfall in India, or the Laitlum Canyons, which offer a stunning view of the hills and valleys. You can also take a side trip to the neighbouring state of Assam to visit the Kaziranga National Park, which is home to the one-horned rhinoceros and several other species of wildlife. To maximize your fun, try to plan your trip during the Wangala Festival, which is a harvest festival celebrated by the Garo tribe in Meghalaya. Lastly, I would suggest trying the local cuisine, which includes dishes like Jadoh, Dohneiiong, and Tungrymbai.
