3-Day Itinerary for Kerala in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Kochi
    30 minutes (22 km) from Cochin International Airport

    Start the day with a visit to Fort Kochi, a historic town that reflects the colonial era of Kochi. Visit the St. Francis Church, the oldest European church in India, and the Chinese Fishing Nets, an iconic symbol of Kerala. Have lunch at a local restaurant and taste the famous Kerala cuisine. In the afternoon, visit the Mattancherry Palace, also known as the Dutch Palace, which showcases traditional Kerala art and architecture. In the evening, watch a Kathakali performance, a traditional dance form of Kerala, at the Kerala Kathakali Centre.

  2. Day 2: Munnar
    3.5 hours (130 km) from Kochi

    Start the day early and head to Munnar, a hill station known for its tea plantations and scenic beauty. Visit the Eravikulam National Park, home to the endangered Nilgiri Tahr and other species of flora and fauna. Take a stroll in the tea gardens and enjoy the fresh air. Have lunch at a local restaurant and taste some of the local delicacies. In the afternoon, visit the Tea Museum, which showcases the history and evolution of tea production in Munnar. In the evening, relax and enjoy the beautiful sunset at the Top Station viewpoint.

  3. Day 3: Alleppey
    4 hours (155 km) from Munnar

    Start the day early and head to Alleppey, the Venice of the East, known for its backwaters, canals, and lagoons. Take a houseboat ride and enjoy the scenic beauty of the backwaters. Have lunch on the houseboat and taste some of the local cuisine. In the afternoon, visit the Alleppey Beach and relax on the sandy beach. In the evening, explore the local markets and buy some souvenirs to take back home.
