Recommendations

If you have time, consider visiting the hill station of Munnar for a day trip to experience the picturesque tea plantations and refreshing climate. Another option is to visit the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary for a jungle safari. Both are located within driving distance from Kochi. You can also consider a visit to the beautiful Varkala Beach for some surfing or just to relax. Make sure to book your hotels and flights in advance to avoid last-minute hassles.

Maximize your fun by trying out the traditional Kerala cuisine, especially the fish curry and appam. To get the most out of your trip, consider hiring a local guide who can help you navigate through the local hotspots and give you insights into the history and culture of Kerala.

Make sure to also check the weather forecast before you visit. Kerala experiences a monsoon season from June to September, so be prepared for some rainfall during your trip.
