3-Day Volunteering Itinerary in Mount Abu, August 2023

  1. Day 1: Visit Toad Rock
    15 minutes (3.3 km) from Mount Abu Bus Stand

    Start your day with a visit to Toad Rock, a popular landmark in Mount Abu. This unique rock formation resembles a toad and offers great photo opportunities. Spend your morning hiking up to the rock and taking in the scenic views of the surrounding landscape. In the afternoon, volunteer at the nearby Wildlife Conservation Sanctuary and assist the staff with animal care and rehabilitation. In the evening, head to Nakki Lake and enjoy a peaceful boat ride or stroll along the lake's scenic promenade.

  2. Day 2: Trek to Guru Shikhar
    45 minutes (16.2 km) from Nakki Lake

    Begin your day with a challenging trek to Guru Shikhar, the highest peak in Rajasthan. The trek takes around 4-5 hours and offers breathtaking views of the Aravalli Range. After your trek, volunteer at the nearby Mount Abu Wildlife Sanctuary and help with conservation efforts. In the evening, visit the Brahma Kumari Ashram and attend a peaceful meditation session or yoga class.

  3. Day 3: Visit Achalgarh Fort
    30 minutes (11.9 km) from Brahma Kumari Ashram

    Visit the historic Achalgarh Fort, a 14th-century fortress located at the top of a hill. The fort offers stunning views of the surrounding landscape and houses several ancient temples. Spend your morning exploring the fort and learning about its rich history. In the afternoon, volunteer at the nearby Animal Aid Unlimited shelter and assist with animal care and rehabilitation. End your day with a visit to Sunset Point and watch the sun go down over the Aravalli Range.
