4-Day Kerala Itinerary in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Kochi
    30 minutes (22 km) from Cochin International Airport

    In the morning, visit the Mattancherry Palace, also known as the Dutch Palace, for its beautiful murals and artifacts. In the afternoon, take a walk through Fort Kochi Beach and explore the colonial buildings such as St. Francis Church and Santa Cruz Basilica. For the evening, head to the Chinese Fishing Nets and enjoy the sunset view.

  2. Day 2: Munnar
    3 hours 30 minutes (120 km) from Kochi

    Start your day with a visit to the Tea Museum to learn about Munnar's tea history. Later, visit the Eravikulam National Park, home to the endangered Nilgiri Tahr and beautiful flora and fauna. Take a stroll through the Echo Point and enjoy the scenic beauty. In the evening, visit the Pothamedu View Point and take in the stunning sunset view.

  3. Day 3: Alleppey
    4 hours (150 km) from Munnar

    Start your day with a visit to the Krishnapuram Palace and Museum, known for its architecture, mural paintings, and antique sculptures. In the afternoon, take a houseboat ride through the backwaters of Alleppey and enjoy the serene beauty of the lush green surroundings. For the evening, visit the Marari Beach and enjoy a peaceful sunset.

  4. Day 4: Thekkady
    4 hours 30 minutes (140 km) from Alleppey

    Start your day with a visit to the Periyar National Park and Wildlife Sanctuary, known for its elephants and tigers. Take a boat ride through the Periyar Lake and spot animals in their natural habitat. In the afternoon, visit the Mangala Devi Temple, known for its beautiful architecture and serene atmosphere. For the evening, visit the Kadathanadan Kalari Centre to watch traditional martial arts and cultural performances.

Recommendations

Don't miss the Athirappilly Waterfalls, located 2 hours away from Kochi. You can also consider visiting the Kovalam Beach, located 4 hours from Thekkady.
