Four-day Family-Friendly Itinerary for Goa

  1. Day 1: Fort Aguada and Sinquerim Beach
    30 minutes (9.4 km) from Dabolim Airport

    Start your vacation with a visit to the historic Fort Aguada. This seventeenth-century fort was built by the Portuguese to protect Goa from Dutch and Maratha invaders. You can see the lighthouse and enjoy panoramic views of the Arabian Sea. After that, head to Sinquerim Beach, a popular destination for water sports activities like jet skiing, parasailing, and banana boat rides. In the evening, relax at one of the beach shacks and enjoy some fresh seafood.

  2. Day 2: Basilica of Bom Jesus and Anjuna Beach
    40 minutes (16.5 km) from Sinquerim Beach

    Visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Basilica of Bom Jesus, to see the tomb of St. Francis Xavier. This church is a fine example of Baroque architecture. After that, head to Anjuna beach, famous for its flea market and trance parties. Spend the afternoon lazing on the beach or swimming in the sea. In the evening, check out one of the beachside restaurants for dinner.

  3. Day 3: Dudhsagar Waterfalls and Spice Plantation Tour
    1 hour 30 minutes (60 km) from Anjuna Beach

    Start early to visit the majestic Dudhsagar Waterfalls. These falls are one of the tallest in India and are surrounded by lush green forests. Take a dip in the cool waters of the pool below or go on a trek to explore the surrounding nature trails. After that, head to a spice plantation to learn about the different spices grown in Goa and their uses in Indian cuisine. You can also try some local delicacies made with these spices. Return to your hotel in the evening.

  4. Day 4: Mangueshi Temple and Dona Paula Beach
    40 minutes (20 km) from Dudhsagar Waterfalls

    Visit the Mangueshi Temple, one of the largest and most visited temples in Goa. This temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is known for its beautiful architecture and intricate carvings. After that, head to Dona Paula Beach, a popular spot for romantic walks and sunset views. You can also enjoy water sports activities like kayaking and windsurfing. In the evening, head to a nearby restaurant to try some authentic Goan cuisine.
