3-Day Itinerary for Ho Chi Minh in June 2024

  1. Day 1: Visit The War Remnants Museum

    Start your day by visiting The War Remnants Museum, one of the most popular museums in Vietnam. Here, you will learn about the Vietnam War and its effects on the country. From there, head to the Independence Palace, where you can explore the historic building and its beautiful gardens. In the evening, visit the Ben Thanh Night Market to experience the local atmosphere and try some delicious street food.

  2. Day 2: Explore The Cu Chi Tunnels
    1 hour 30 minutes (70 km) from Ben Thanh Market

    Today, take a trip to the Cu Chi Tunnels, an incredible network of underground tunnels used by the Viet Cong during the Vietnam War. You can crawl through the tunnels and learn about the daily life of the soldiers who lived there. Afterward, head to the Cao Dai Temple to learn about the fascinating religion that combines elements of Christianity, Buddhism and Taoism. Finish the day by taking a boat ride through the Mekong Delta and exploring local villages.

  3. Day 3: Visit The Jade Emperor Pagoda
    20 minutes (5 km) from Notre-Dame Cathedral Basilica of Saigon

    Start your day by visiting the Jade Emperor Pagoda, a beautiful Taoist temple filled with intricate carvings and statues. Then, head to the Saigon Central Post Office, a stunning example of French Colonial architecture.
