4-Day Itinerary for Goa

  1. Day 1: Visit Fort Aguada
    30 minutes (10.3 miles) from Goa International Airport

    In the morning, visit the iconic Fort Aguada, built by the Portuguese in the 17th century to defend against Dutch and Maratha invaders. Walk around the fort, take in the stunning views of the Arabian Sea, and learn about its history. In the afternoon, head to Sinquerim Beach, located below the fort, for some sun and sand. In the evening, enjoy a seafood dinner at one of the shacks on the beach.

  2. Day 2: Explore Old Goa
    20 minutes (7.6 miles) from Sinquerim Beach

    In the morning, visit the UNESCO World Heritage site of Old Goa, which was the capital of Portuguese India until the 18th century. See the beautiful churches and cathedrals, including the Basilica of Bom Jesus which houses the remains of St. Francis Xavier. In the afternoon, head to Panaji, the capital of Goa, for some shopping and sightseeing. In the evening, take a river cruise on the Mandovi River.

  3. Day 3: Visit Dudhsagar Falls
    1 hour 30 minutes (42.5 miles) from Panaji

    In the morning, take a scenic drive to Dudhsagar Falls, one of the tallest waterfalls in India. Enjoy a refreshing dip in the cool waters and take in the natural beauty of the surroundings. In the afternoon, visit the spice plantations nearby and learn about the different spices grown in Goa. In the evening, head back to Panaji for dinner.

  4. Day 4: Relax at Palolem Beach
    1 hour 30 minutes (43.9 miles) from Dudhsagar Falls

    In the morning, head to Palolem Beach, one of the most beautiful beaches in Goa. Relax on the golden sands, go for a swim in the clear waters, and try some water sports. In the afternoon, explore the nearby village of Chaudi and learn about the local culture. In the evening, enjoy the sunset on the beach and have a farewell dinner.

If you have time, consider visiting the Chapora Fort, which offers stunning views of the nearby Vagator Beach. You can also take a day trip to the beautiful beaches of Morjim and Ashwem.
