2-Day Adventure Itinerary in Nashik for June 2023

  1. Day 1: Anjaneri
    1 hour (16.7 miles) from Nashik

    Start your adventure with a trip to Anjaneri, the birthplace of Lord Hanuman. The trek to the top takes around 3 hours and is moderately challenging, with scenic views of the surrounding mountains. Pack a picnic lunch to enjoy at the summit. Afternoon, visit the Trimbakeshwar Temple, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas in India. The temple is made of black stone and has beautiful architecture. In the evening, head to Sula Vineyards for a wine tour and tasting. Learn about the winemaking process and sample some of Sula's award-winning wines.

  2. Day 2: Harihar Fort
    2 hours 40 minutes (71.8 miles) from Nashik

    Embark on a challenging trek to the Harihar Fort, also known as Harshagad. The fort is situated at an elevation of 3,676 feet and is known for its steep rock-cut staircase. The trek takes around 3 hours and offers panoramic views of the Sahyadri mountain range. Afternoon, cool off at the Dudhsagar Waterfalls, a popular picnic spot with a 10-meter high waterfall. In the evening, visit the Bhandardara Lake and enjoy a peaceful boat ride while watching the sunset over the mountains.

Recommendations

If you have time, visit the Someshwar Waterfall, which is located 25 km from Nashik and requires a short trek through a forest to reach. You can also go on a hot air balloon ride over the vineyards for a unique perspective of the landscape. Another option is to take a day trip to the Shirdi Sai Baba Temple, which is around 75 km from Nashik. Make sure to try the local cuisine, especially the Misal Pav and Vada Pav.
