Kedarnath, Badrinath and Haridwar - 6 Day Volunteering Itinerary in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Kedarnath
    7 hours (173 km) from Haridwar

    In the morning, you will be travelling to Kedarnath. The town is situated in the lap of the Himalayas and is home to one of the twelve Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva. After reaching, you can visit Kedarnath Temple and take part in the local rituals and offerings. In the afternoon, you can volunteer at the charity organizations, such as Ramakrishna Mission, to help the people affected by natural calamities. In the evening, you can take a walk along the Kedarnath Wildlife Sanctuary and spot some of the rare wildlife species.

  2. Day 2: Badrinath
    8 hours (225 km) from Kedarnath

    In the morning, you will travel to Badrinath, which is located in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand. Badrinath is home to the Badrinath Temple, which is one of the four Char Dham pilgrimage sites. You can take part in the daily puja and rituals. In the afternoon, you can volunteer at the Badrinath Red Cross Society or other local charity organizations. In the evening, you can take a walk along the Alaknanda River and enjoy the scenic beauty of the place.

  3. Day 3: Haridwar

    In the morning, you will travel to Haridwar, which is an ancient city situated on the banks of the River Ganges.     You can spend your morning volunteering at the local orphanages or old age homes. After that, you will travel to the Dehradun Airport for your flight back home.
