You’ll need a car to get around Deans Marsh and the surrounding areas. Expect to spend around $70-$100 per day to rent a car. The driving time between locations ranges from 15-30 minutes.
If you have extra time, consider visiting nearby locations such as the Cape Otway Lighthouse and the Twelve Apostles. If you have less time, skip the Otway Harvest Trail or choose only a few locations to visit. Keep in mind that most attractions close around 5 pm.
Avalon Airport (AVV) is the closest airport to Deans Marsh, located 78 km north-east of the town. Melbourne Airport (MEL) is 144 km north-east of Deans Marsh. A rental car or private transfer is recommended for the 1.5-2.5 hour drive to Deans Marsh from either airport.
