Pittock Mansion is a beautiful French Renaissance-style mansion that was built for Portland pioneers Henry and Georgiana Pittock in 1914. The mansion is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and contains artifacts that tell the story of Portland and its connection to Oregon's history.
The International Rose Test Garden is a stunning garden dedicated to preserving and showcasing Portland's official flower: the rose. With over 7000 rose plants of approximately 550 varieties and is just breathtaking, the garden offers beautiful views of the city skyline and the Cascade Mountains. The amazing Powell's City of Books, an iconic bookstore, is just a 20 minutes walk from the International Rose Test Garden on Burnside Street. Add a stop by the bookstore or head to Portland Japanese Garden if you have an extra day. Alternatively, if time is short, remove the Pittock Mansion from your trip to relax a bit!
