Wuxi is well-connected by buses, taxis or ride-hailing services such as Didi or Meituan. However, in some remote or mountainous areas, it may be harder to get to. Average taxi fares are around 10 CNY ($2 USD) for 3km, while buses cost around 2-5 CNY ($0.30-$1 USD). Ride-hailing services have variable pricing depending on demand.
If you have additional time, you may consider visiting the Wuxi Zoo, the Wuxi Suning Plaza, or the Wuxi Taihu International Expo Center. If you have less time, you may consider skipping some of the smaller attractions, or reduce the time spent in the large parks. Be sure to bring comfortable shoes, a hat, sunscreen, and rain gear, as the weather can be unpredictable.
Wuxi has two airports: Sunan Shuofang International Airport (WUX) and Wuxi Changjiang International Airport (WUX). Sunan airport is closer, just 15km from the city center, while Changjiang airport is farther away, located 20km from the city center. Both airports offer direct flights to major Chinese cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou or Shenzhen.
