Four-Day Itinerary for Goa in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Fort Aguada and Sinquerim Beach
    30 minutes (9.3 km) from Dabolim Airport

    In the morning, visit Fort Aguada, a historic 17th-century Portuguese fort with stunning ocean views. In the afternoon, head to Sinquerim Beach, a gorgeous stretch of sand with plenty of water sports activities. In the evening, enjoy the sunset at the beach shacks while sipping on a refreshing cocktail.

  2. Day 2: Dudhsagar Waterfalls and Anjuna Beach
    1 hour 20 minutes (60 km) from Sinquerim Beach

    In the morning, take a trip to Dudhsagar Waterfalls, one of the tallest waterfalls in India. Experience the stunning views of the waterfall and enjoy a refreshing swim. In the afternoon, head to Anjuna Beach, known for its hippie culture, flea markets, and beach parties. Relax on the beach and soak in the vibrant atmosphere. In the evening, enjoy some live music at one of the beachside restaurants.

  3. Day 3: Basilica of Bom Jesus and Dona Paula Beach
    1 hour (30 km) from Anjuna Beach

    In the morning, visit the Basilica of Bom Jesus, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a fine example of Baroque architecture. Afterward, head to Dona Paula Beach, where you can take a romantic stroll along the coastline, admire the sunset, and indulge in some street food. In the evening, take a romantic river cruise on the Mandovi River.

  4. Day 4: Bhagwan Mahaveer Sanctuary and Colva Beach
    1 hour 30 minutes (40 km) from Dona Paula Beach

    In the morning, explore the Bhagwan Mahaveer Sanctuary, a wildlife reserve that is home to several endangered species, such as the Bengal tiger and Indian bison. In the afternoon, head to Colva Beach, a scenic beach with white sand and crystal clear waters. Relax on the beach or indulge in some water sports activities. In the evening, enjoy some traditional Goan cuisine at one of the beachside restaurants.

Recommendations

If you have more time, consider taking a side trip to the small village of Divar Island, which is known for its scenic beauty and Portuguese heritage. You can also attend a traditional Goan Carnival, which takes place during the month of February. To maximize your fun, be sure to try some of the local delicacies, such as fish curry, prawn balchão, and bebinca.
