Exploring Nashik in September 2023

  1. Day 1: Sula Vineyards
    19 minutes (9.5 km) from Nashik City Centre

    In the morning, visit the Sula Vineyards and learn about the wine-making process while enjoying the beautiful scenery. Take a stroll through the vineyard and taste some of the premium wines. In the afternoon, head to the Soma Vine Village for a wine tour and indulge in a great wine tasting experience. In the evening, head to the York Winery for a delicious dinner paired with some of the best wines.

  2. Day 2: Trimbakeshwar Temple
    25 minutes (17.3 km) from Nashik City Centre

    In the morning, visit the famous Trimbakeshwar Temple, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas in India. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is a symbol of spiritual enlightenment. Afternoon can be spent at the Gangapur Dam, where you can explore the lush greenery and tranquil surroundings. In the evening, head to Panchvati, a sacred site for Hindus, and visit the Kalaram Temple and Sita Gufaa.

  3. Day 3: Anjaneri Hills
    1 hour 5 minutes (30.8 km) from Nashik City Centre

    Start your day early and head to the Anjaneri Hills. The beautiful trek up the hills takes approximately an hour and offers a great opportunity to enjoy the surrounding nature. After the trek, head to the Navshya Ganapati Temple, a beautiful temple dedicated to Lord Ganesha. In the afternoon, visit the Coin Museum to get an insight into the history of money and currency in India. In the evening, head to the Nashik City Centre Mall for some retail therapy and dinner.

Recommendations

If you're looking for more adventure, you can take a day trip to the beautiful Bhandardara Lake which is about an hour and a half drive from Nashik. Another great option is to take a bike tour through the vineyards and countryside. For foodies, you can explore the street food scene at Saraf Bazaar and taste some of the delicious local delicacies.
