7-Day Family-Friendly Itinerary for Andaman in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Corbyn's Cove Beach
    30 minutes (8.5 km) from Veer Savarkar International Airport

    In the morning, enjoy a relaxing walk on the beach. Rent a paddle boat or jet ski in the afternoon for some fun in the water. Spend the evening at the beach shacks and try some local seafood.

  2. Day 2: Ross Island

    Explore the ruins and history of the British era. In the afternoon, head to North Bay Island for some underwater sea-walking or snorkeling. End the day with a light and sound show at Cellular Jail.

  3. Day 3: Mahatma Gandhi Marine National Park

    Enjoy a glass-bottom boat ride to see the colourful marine creatures. Take a forest trek and spot some endemic birds. In the evening, visit Mini Zoo and see the rare species of animals.

  4. Day 4: Havelock Island

    Relax on the soft sands of Radhanagar beach, one of the most beautiful beaches in Asia. Take a dip in the clear blue waters and then head to Vijaynagar Beach in the evening to witness the sunset.

  5. Day 5: Kalapathar Beach
    20 minutes (7.2 km) from Havelock Island

    In the morning, visit Asia's best eco-friendly beach, Kalapathar, full of lush green forests. Take a dip in the turquoise waters. In the evening, you can go for some shopping at the local markets.

  6. Day 6: Baratang Island
    120 minutes (100 km) from Port Blair

    Visit the breathtaking Limestone Caves, and then head to Parrot Island to spot thousands of parrots returning home. Catch a glimpse of the Mud Volcano, a rare phenomenon in India. In the evening, try some local delicacies at the nearby restaurants.

  7. Day 7: Jolly Buoy Island
    40 minutes (30 km) by ferry from Wandoor Beach

    Spend the day at the pristine Jolly Buoy Island, a protected area for coral reefs. Go snorkeling in the clear waters to see the diverse marine life. In the evening, watch a cultural program at Sippighat Farm.

Recommendations

Other than the above itinerary, you can also consider visiting the Anthropological Museum, Samudrika Museum, and Chatham Saw Mill. A side trip to Neil Island is also recommended.
