Ohrid Old Town is a beautiful and historic area located in the heart of Ohrid. There you'll find a variety of narrow, stone paths that will take you past beautiful old-style homes, shops, historic churches and more.
One of the biggest attractions in the Ohrid area is National Park Galicica. It's located up in the higher elevations of the Western Macedonian mountains overlooking Ohrid Lake. The park has beautiful natural scenery, wildlife, orchids, walking trails and other activities to enjoy.
Bay of the Bones Museum is a famous and unique museum located in the Ohrid area. It is an archaeological site that has been protected and reconstructed in a way that preserves the natural beauty and cultural history.
A traveler in Manaki can get around by car, bus or taxi. Each mode of transportation has its costs and benefits, but for the best experience, we recommend traveling by car. A car will give you access to all the sites throughout the day, and you'll be able to stay comfortably throughout your journey without transportation hurdles. Budget between 200 - 300 Macedonian denars for transportation for the day.
If you have more time to explore the Ohrid area, we recommend including the nearby beaches, hiking trails, and scenic lookouts. If you have less time, consider cutting the visit to the Bay of the Bones Museum from your itinerary.
