  1. Day 1: Grand Canyon National Park

Recommendations

If you have extra time, consider visiting the Phoenix Art Museum, Heard Museum and Musical Instrument Museum. A side trip to Lake Powell or Petrified Forest National Park is also worth considering. For a fun experience, try hot air ballooning over the Sonoran Desert or take a helicopter tour over the Grand Canyon. Don't forget to try the local cuisine, including Navajo tacos and chimichangas.
