Start your day by visiting Calauit Safari Park, where you can see African animals such as zebras, giraffes, and antelopes, as well as endemic animals of Palawan. You can go on a safari tour or hike the trails for an up-close encounter with the animals. Don't miss the opportunity to take photos with the giraffes!
Experience the local cuisine of Busuanga on a food tour. Some popular dishes to try are "linapay" (grilled fish), "tamilok" (woodworm), and "lechon kawali" (deep-fried pork belly). You can also try the street food scene in Coron Town, where vendors sell grilled seafood, "kikiam" (fried fish cake), and "banana cue" (sweet banana on a stick).
Take a day trip to Black Island, where you can find a hidden lagoon, a natural pool, and a white sand beach. Snorkelling is also popular in the area, where you can see coral gardens and colourful fish. Don't forget to bring your own food and drinks as there are no commercial establishments on the island.
Public transportation in Busuanga is limited, so it's recommended to rent a car or hire a private van for convenience. Car rental costs around PHP 2000-2500 per day, while van rentals cost around PHP 3500-4000 per day. A round-trip airport transfer costs around PHP 1500-2000.
If you have more time, you can also visit other islands around Busuanga, such as Coron Island, Malcapuya Island, and Banana Island. If you have less time, you can skip Calauit Safari Park and go straight to Coron Town for a food trip and island hopping tour.
Francisco B. Reyes Airport (USU) is the main airport in Busuanga and is located in Coron, about 45 minutes (23.7 km) away from Coron Town. It accommodates domestic flights from Manila and Cebu.
