Family Friendly 4-Day Itinerary for Goa in August 2023

  1. Day 1: Baga Beach
    40 minutes (16 km) from Goa International Airport

    In the morning, take a dip in the Arabian sea at the Baga Beach. The beach is famous for its water sports activities. In the afternoon, take a leisurely stroll along the beach and explore the local shops and restaurants. In the evening, enjoy the sunset while sipping on some refreshing coconut water.

  2. Day 2: Dudhsagar Falls
    2 hours 15 minutes (75 km) from Baga Beach

    In the morning, head towards Dudhsagar Falls located in Mollem National Park. It is a 4-tiered waterfall surrounded by lush green forests. You can take a dip in the natural pool below the waterfall. In the afternoon, take a guided safari tour of the national park. In the evening, enjoy a candle-lit dinner under the stars at the waterfall.

  3. Day 3: Old Goa
    1 hour 30 minutes (30 km) from Dudhsagar Falls

    In the morning, visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Old Goa. Explore the beautiful churches and cathedrals like the Basilica of Bom Jesus. In the afternoon, take a walk along the Mandovi river and try some local street food. In the evening, enjoy a sunset river cruise on the Mandovi river.

  4. Day 4: Anjuna Flea Market
    20 minutes (8 km) from Old Goa

    In the morning, visit the Anjuna Flea Market. It is a vibrant market selling everything from clothes to handicrafts. In the afternoon, head towards the Chapora Fort. The fort provides a panoramic view of the Arabian sea and the surrounding hills. In the evening, enjoy a seafood dinner at one of the shacks on the beach.

If you have extra time, visit the Aguada Fort which is located near the Sinquerim Beach. You can also take a day trip to the Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary and explore the mangrove forests.
