    Next stop is the UNESCO World Heritage site Hampi, which was once the capital of the Vijayanagara Empire. This ancient city is a marvel of architecture and engineering, and you can spend 3-4 hours exploring the temples, palaces, and other ruins. Don't miss the Virupaksha Temple, the Elephant Stables, and the Lotus Mahal.
