5-Day Relaxing Itinerary from Delhi to Kedarnath in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Delhi to Haridwar
    5 hours (230 km) from Delhi

    In the morning, visit the famous Akshardham Temple and learn about Hinduism's rich culture and traditions. In the afternoon, drive to Haridwar and experience the evening Ganga Aarti, a Hindu ritual of worshiping the river Ganges. In the evening, take a dip in the holy river and visit the nearby Har Ki Pauri ghat for a beautiful sunset view.

  2. Day 2: Haridwar to Guptkashi
    8 hours (210 km) from Haridwar

    In the morning, drive to Devprayag, the holy confluence of Alakananda and Bhagirathi rivers. Afternoon, visit Rudraprayag, the confluence of Alakananda and Mandakini rivers. In the evening, reach Guptkashi and relax at the hotel after a long drive.

  3. Day 3: Guptkashi to Kedarnath
    1 hour (30 km) from Guptkashi

    In the morning, take a helicopter ride to Kedarnath (subject to weather conditions). Afternoon, visit the Kedarnath Temple and offer your prayers to Lord Shiva. In the evening, explore the beautiful and serene surroundings of Kedarnath and relax at your hotel.

  4. Day 4: Kedarnath to Rudraprayag
    3 hours (70 km) from Kedarnath

    In the morning, take a helicopter ride back to Guptkashi and drive to Rudraprayag. Afternoon, visit the stunning Koteshwar Mahadev Temple and enjoy the scenic beauty of the place. In the evening, relax at your hotel and enjoy the view of the Mandakini river.

  5. Day 5: Rudraprayag to Delhi
    9 hours (380 km) from Rudraprayag

    In the morning, visit Deoprayag, the confluence of the rivers Alakananda and Bhagirathi, and experience the beautiful nature of the place. Afternoon, drive back to Delhi and end your trip with beautiful memories.

Recommendations

While in Haridwar, you can also visit the Chandi Devi Temple, Mansa Devi Temple, and the Maya Devi Temple. You can also take a cable car to the top of the hill and enjoy the beautiful view. If you have time, you can also visit the Tehri Dam and enjoy water sports. A side trip to Badrinath and Mana village can also be considered. Make sure to carry comfortable clothes, woolens, raincoats, and good walking shoes to ensure a hassle-free trip.
