Recommendations

Lonavala has several other attractions that you can add to your itinerary, such as the Lohagad Fort, a historic fortification atop a hill, and the Kune Falls, a three-layered waterfall surrounded by lush greenery. You can also consider taking a side trip to Khandala, Lonavala's neighboring hill station, which is home to the scenic Khandala Lake and the beautiful Bhushi Dam. To maximize your fun, try to visit during the monsoon season (June-September), when the hills and waterfalls are at their most beautiful. Don't forget to sample Lonavala's famous chikki, a sweet brittle made from jaggery and nuts.
