7-Day Nature Itinerary from India to Bali in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Ubud Monkey Forest
    1 hour 30 minutes (25.6 miles) from Ngurah Rai International Airport

    In the morning, explore the sacred Ubud Monkey Forest and its lush surroundings, home to over 600 Balinese long-tailed monkeys. After lunch, head to the nearby Tegalalang Rice Terrace for a scenic hike and views of the rice paddies. Finish the day with a visit to the Pura Tirta Empul, a holy water temple with a bathing area for purification ceremonies.

  2. Day 2: Mount Batur Sunrise Trekking
    1 hour 30 minutes (29.3 miles) from Ubud Monkey Forest

    Rise early for a challenging trek up Mount Batur to watch the sunrise over Bali's volcanic landscape. After descending, take a dip in the natural hot springs at Toya Devasya for some relaxation. In the afternoon, visit the Tirta Gangga water palace and its beautiful gardens filled with fish ponds and fountains.

  3. Day 3: Nusa Lembongan Island

    Embark on a scenic trekking adventure to the Sekumpul Waterfall, the tallest waterfall in Bali with a height of over 260 feet. Explore the surrounding rice fields and villages along the way. After lunch, visit the Ulun Danu Bratan temple, a beautiful temple situated on a lake with a stunning mountain backdrop. End the day with a traditional Balinese dance performance.

  7. Day 7: Sidemen Village Cycling
    1 hour 30 minutes (27.6 miles) from Sekumpul Waterfall

    Take a leisurely bike ride through the picturesque Sidemen Village and its beautiful rice fields and ancient temples. Stop at several traditional Balinese houses and interact with friendly locals. After lunch, visit the Besakih Temple, the largest and most important Hindu temple in Bali. End the day with a visit to the Tirta Gangga water palace and its stunning gardens.

In addition to the above, you may also want to consider a visit to the Bali Bird Park, the Bali Safari and Marine Park, or the Jatiluwih Rice Terrace. For a side trip, take a boat ride to the Gili Islands for some beach relaxation and snorkeling. To maximize your fun, try some traditional Balinese activities like cooking classes, batik making, or gamelan music lessons.
