  1. Day 1: Explore Lucknow

      In the morning, visit the Bara Imambara which is an impressive architectural marvel with a labyrinth known as the Bhul bhulaiya. After that, pick up some famous Lucknowi Chikankari clothes and take a break to have some delicious vegetarian kebabs at Tunday Kababi in Aminabad. In the afternoon, explore the Chhota Imambara, a beautiful mausoleum. In the evening, head to Hazratganj for shopping and strolling around the streets.

    • The Residency

      The Residency is a historic site where you can see the ruins of the British residency that was destroyed in 1857. It is a peaceful place for an evening walk amidst the ruins and a beautiful garden. You can also enjoy the light and sound show that takes place every evening.

  3. Day 3: Explore Mathura and Vrindavan

Recommendations

If you have more time, you can visit the Kumbh Mela, a significant pilgrimage and cultural event that takes place every few years in different locations in India. The next Kumbh Mela is in 2024 in Haridwar, which is a 7-hour drive from Mathura. You can also visit the Keoladeo National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, which is a bird sanctuary and wetland with a diverse range of bird species. It is a 2-hour drive from Agra. Don't forget to try the famous petha sweets in Agra and the peda sweets in Mathura.
