2-Day Family Friendly Itinerary for Ujjain in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Mahakaleshwar Temple
    10 minutes (3.5 km) from Ujjain Junction Railway Station

    Start your day with a visit to Mahakaleshwar Temple, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas in India. This ancient temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is known for its unique Bhasma Aarti (ash ritual). After the morning darshan, head to the nearby Ram Ghat for a boat ride along the Shipra river. Enjoy the scenic views and the cool breeze. This palace is located on the banks of the Shipra river and is known for its beautiful architecture and scenic views. In the afternoon, visit the Mangalnath Temple, located on a hillock overlooking the city. This temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is known for its scenic views of the city. In the evening, explore the local markets and try some local delicacies.
